CUDDLE BUG BABY PRODUCTS ANNOUNCES FREE INTERNET CONTEST!
GIVING AWAY OVER $200 IN HANDCRAFTED BABY ACCESSORIES
SAN MATEO, California (September 1, 2000) – The Sweet Pea Company today announced the unveiling of its first ever Internet contest, the “How Sweet It Is” contest. The contest runs throughout the month of September, and is free to enter. The contest is located at the Company’s Internet home page, http://www.cuddlebugbaby.com.
Prizes totaling $225 will be given away to seven lucky winners, randomly drawn from all eligible entrants. The Grand Prize winner will receive a Cuddle Bug Collection. The Collection includes a Cuddle Bug Crib Blanket™, a Cuddle Bug Security Blanket™ and two Cuddle Bug Burpies™. Retail value is $90.
Three Second Prizes of a Cuddle Bug Gift Set will be awarded. Retail value $25 each. The Gift Sets include one Cuddle Bug Security Blanket and one Cuddle Bug Burpie. Finally, the Company will award three Third Prizes: a Cuddle Bug Burpie Multipack (set of three Burpies). Retail value $20 each. Winners will be able to make their choice of color schemes.

Our Company has a lot to celebrate this year between our two-year anniversary and the addition of our new products, and we wanted to share our celebration with our customers and web site visitors.”
The contest is open to anyone over the age of 18. Contestants can enter once per day (per name/address/email), and are required to fill out a short questionnaire. No purchase or fee is necessary.
The Company is based in San Mateo, and just celebrated its two-year anniversary this summer. The Company specializes in producing unique, handcrafted accessories for babies and toddlers. All items are made locally in the Bay Area. Nothing is massed produced in large factories.
The Company’s flagship product, the Cuddle Bug Security Blanket, is a unique little blanket, designed to be a “lovey” that acts as comfort item. It is the only security blanket made of three different fabrics (terry cloth, flannel and satin), which give babies interesting textures to explore and teethe on and provide excellent tactile stimulation. The compact size (14" x 22") is small enough for baby to hold and snuggle and is portable everywhere - crib, car seat or stroller. The blankets are easy to care for (machine wash and dry), and retail for approximately $20-25. They are ideal gifts for a baby shower or to celebrate the arrival of a new baby.
Earlier this year, the Company expanded its product line to include Cuddle Bug Crib Blankets and Cuddle Bug Burpies. The crib blankets are warm, snugly, full-sized crib blankets featuring a unique form of quilting called “steppling.” The crib blankets retail for $65. Cuddle Bug Burpies are attractive, yet absorbent burp cloths for infants and retail for $7.50-8.00. All Cuddle Bug items use the same distinctive fabric colors and ribbons for a coordinated look.
Since its inception, the Company has established a successful and award-winning e-commerce web site, http://www.cuddlebugbaby.com. For the second year in a row, The International Association of Web Masters & Designers awarded the site its Golden Web Award for excellence in web site design. The Company has won numerous other Internet awards of excellence.
